Are Best Latex Mattress Reviews Honest?
Best latex mattress info can be misleading and potentially harmful. Do you know what is in your so called best rated mattress? Always ask to see test results in writing before buying a so called natural latex mattress! Our society is becoming wiser to the world of toxic chemicals. However, it is a bit shocking to still find many people are unsuspecting when it comes to the toxicity of their mattress.
Would you think it to be wise to open a can of paint thinner or such, and hover over it while breathing in? No! Of course not! Well, then why would you want to bury your face into a toxic pillow and sleep on a chemically ridden, off-gassing, so called best rated mattress for hours a day?
Many websites claim to have the best latex mattress on the market and at the same time sell a talalay latex mattress. There are two different methods in making a latex mattress. Talalay or the Dunlop method. You will see that both are sold as a natural latex mattress.
Our manufacturer has been a leader in the organic industry for over 17 years. My friend lost her baby to SIDS at 9 months old on a darn mattress, and I will only sell what I can sleep at night knowing I have sold. I am of the opinion that the best latex mattress is NOT a talalay latex mattress, but rather one that is free of chemicals. The talalay contains a preservative in order to transport to the USA and also uses sulphur and benzene as accelerators during processing.
We only carry the Latex Green dunlop as it is the only one which tested free of chemicals. Our manufacturer tested several other mattress suppliers' rubber to see for themselves. Ours is Dunlop, as the Talalay rubber has petroleum added in the form of artificial vanillin. The vanillin (not in ours) contains dimethyl sulfate and is highly toxic according to a Virginia University study.
Our fine line of adult mattresses including a truly natural latex mattress was designed by Pure-Rest Organics to meet all the needs of the true naturalist. Each detail is carefully inspected with care. They went an extra step and put wool around the sides of our crib mattresses to protect your mattress from the devastation excess moisture can cause. Synthetic and other organic mattress manufacturers do not do this and therefore usually offer only a 5 year warranty. Our Pure Rest Pre-Built adult mattresses come with a 10 year fixed~20 year pro-rated solid warranty against compressing. (Zip Customizable Mattresses carry the same warranty except for the top 'soft' or 'extra soft' core...this is due to wear on top core due to excess movement.)
You MUST use our recommended foundation for your warranty to be enforced! Feel free to build your own foundation for our rubber mattresses...it's Easy...just be sure to adhere to the manufacturer's recommendations. Wood slats must be no more than 2 inches apart with double wood support. I did it, and if I can do it...you can do it!

This best latex mattress line as well as our innerspring line is NAOMI compliant so you know that you are getting purity. Oeko Tex standard is way too low a standard for us to even consider. Your Pure-Rest natural latex mattress has been crafted expertly by hand with our exclusive high quality and absolutely pure fibers. This best latex mattress line is third party tested in Pasadena California to give you confidence that they are indeed pure. All PureRest Organic mattresses feature no polyester backing (most companies do not tell you that they have hidden fibers insided their mattresses). No additives in the wool or organic cotton (many companies will tell you the outer fabric is organic but fail to tell you about anything that is not pure.
PureRest's warranty covers all component parts of your NON talalay latex mattress against defects in materials or workmanship. If you feel your mattress is defective please contact us within 7 days of receipt so we can remedy the situation. PureRest Organics will repair or replace defective part at their discretion.
Due to the nature of this best rated mattress line there are a few conditions where a warranty is voided.
